THE COMPANY  

A leading UK manufacturer of ready assembled bedroom & dining furniture. The company supplies the whole of the UK and has over three decades experience of designing and manufacturing distinctive and high-quality furniture. 

THE SITUATION  

The client came to Gateway Procurement with aim of establishing how it can reduce its third party indirect spend. They wanted to engage with an industry expert who they can trust to conduct a deep dive into their current spend. 

THE OBJECTIVE  

Identify cost optimisation opportunities 

THE STRATEGY  

The strategy was to conduct a detailed spend analysis aimed at highlighting trends, spend creep and cost saving opportunities. 

THE APPROACH  

Gateway Procurement cleansed and categorised AP (Accounts Payable) data for the last three years including the current financial year. Our experts then conducted an in-depth category by category analysis and we then created an opportunity database for the client. 

THE OUTPUT  

• A detailed report highlighting opportunity areas 
• We identified savings in the region of 5% - 10% 
• Identified working capital benefits 
• Highlighted absence of contracts with key suppliers
